Appointment Information


  • Consultations with Doctors and Nurse are by appointment only
  • Appointments can be made in person, over the telephone or online via HotDoc
  • One appointment is required per family member
  • Specific times are allocated for all appointments including procedures
  • Patients are able to request their preferred Doctor when making appointments
  • The receptions staff will advise if the Doctor is running late
  • HMC accommodates urgent appointments even if we are fully booked
  • If you have a mobile number registered with HMC you will receive an SMS Appointment Reminder message 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • If you do not attend your appointment you may be charged a Fail to Attend Fee.

Consultation Fees

Hay Medical Centre is a Private Practice – Consultation Fees are applied.  Full payment is required at time of consultation

Medicare claims can be processed at the time of your consultation if you have a EFTPOS Card linked to a cheque and/or Saving Account. Your Medicare claim will be submitted on your behalf and your refund will be refunded into the bank account linked to your EFTPOS Card.

You may be Bulk Billed if any of the following:

  • Hold a Centrelink Concession Card (Healthcare, Pensioner and/or Commonwealth Seniors)
  • Hold a Department of Veterans Affairs Card
  • Under the Age of 16
